Kerry lives with her husband Eric and two sons, and operates a certified organic farm in Wales, NY. In 2012 she launched a company called alpinemade.com that crafts goat milk skincare products from raw, organic goat milk produced on their farm. Kerry has a B.S. in Environmental Forest Biology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and a Master's in Plant Ecology from Binghamton University. Kerry worked as a technician for Broome County's Soil and Water Conservation District, and then became an Agriculture Specialist with The Department of Agriculture at the Port of Buffalo, NY.
Eric teaches science in the West Seneca School District in Western New York and coaches track and cross country. He obtained his B.S. in Biology and Masters of Teaching from Binghamton University. Eric's role on the farm includes building and installing all farm structures, including electrical, solar and water source systems. As workloads pick up each spring and summer, Eric uses his time off of teaching each summer to upgrade and maintain farm infrastructure. Current projects Eric is working on include an additional hay loft for extra hay storage, and a soap shop for Kerry expand research and development of her skincare products.
